The business was started when the Payne family began to realise many of the well loved foods from the UK and Europe were not readily available in Cyprus. We started with a small shop in the village of Tala but after three years we realised that there was scope for a wider range of goods and moved to larger premises in Polis Road. Since then we have again moved to even more suitable premises and we are now 100 yards up the road from the old shop on the corner of Polis Road and Tremithousa, right next to Papantoniou.
Oliver's Delicatessen specialises in a wide range of gourmet foods from all over Europe. Importing cooked hams, turkey, beef and cheeses from the UK, Fava beans, tomato paste and capers from Santorini and honey and organic olive oil from Crete!
We also offer a wider range of gluten free goods including flours, cake mixes, breadsticks, cakes and biscuits.
Jill says ' We can assure our customers that as well as the wide range of ambient goods we will always have a large range of fresh foods to choose from. A variety of salads are made fresh daily as are our quiches, dressed salmon, pies, pasties and sausage rolls AND our speciality - home made scotch eggs!'
We can prepare an assortment of platters for all occasions from parties and business meetings to weddings.
Our new herbs and spice barrow displays a colourful, wide variety of all of your favourite spices from smoked paprika to pine kernels, fenugreek seeds to ground ginger. Most of our spices are supplied in bulk so you can serve yourself with as much or little as you need.
